Don't you just hate it when supermarkets swap everything around so you get completely lost and find yourself buying twice as many things as normal?
ITV appear to think it's a great strategy.
Announced this afternoon:
From July 20, no more Corrie on Wednesdays. At all. (Corrie has been broadcast on Wednesdays since the 60s - I suspect my mum will be firing off a very angry letter at this one.)
No more double Emmerdale on a Tuesday - they're switching back to a single serving.
Emmerdale at 7pm on Thursday, followed by a "break" - a crap thirty minute programme that will die while everyone turns over to watch Easties instead - then more Emmerdale at 8pm, followed by Corrie - on a Thursday! - at 8.30pm, and a new look "edgier" Bill for an hour starting at the watershed, 9pm.
Which means an hour less of The Bill each week (surely no bad thing) but lots more swear words (prepare for 'you're nicked, you fuckin' slaaaaag').
And Wednesdays?
Freed up for more live football, it appears.
Best turn down that hotpot, Betty love.

So does that add up to more or less soaps?
