I'm absolutely chuffed to bits - and just for once, not actually for me.
My mail has just arrived at work and in it, a wadded package from Ebury Publishing...
Inside, a review copy of Intimate adventures of an office girl by our very own Sienna Lewis. Or whatever she's really called ![]()
In her acknowledgements at the back, she thanks "my lovely blog friends, whose comments have been a great support over the years, thank you for sharing, for bearing with me and for your genuine warmth".
Which kind of gives me a nice warm glow, frankly.
And then this:
"I am donating a percentage of my proceeds from this book to the Guardian's Katine appeal in Uganda, which supports AMREF to help local woman.
"In addition to providing better quality classrooms, latrines and washrooms, AMREF has now influenced the local government to draft female teachers into the community primary schools who act as positive role models and give pastoral support.
"Empowering women in the community is key to effective long term attitudinal change in Katine."
So, not just a pretty face, then.
Review coming next week.
But in the meantime...
You can buy it here.
And...
Bloody well done, you x
