Last night, 3.8 million people tuned in to watch Question Time, where politicians, media moguls and other public figures face and take questions from the public.

Those lucky 3.8 million people - of whom I was not a part, because I was self-medicating myself so much that I still failed to gain a wink of sleep all night - were able to see the luckless Margaret Beckett (wheeled out the big guns for that, eh, Gordon?) get shouted down by the audience when she started to bleat about expenses.

Now, 3.8 million people watching Question Time is something of a ratings winner for the show.

Just imagine how that will transfer to a ballot box.

Bye bye...
