It's estimated that an entire month's worth of rain will fall across the north west in just one day today.

And I can confirm that to be so, as each and every single raindrop rather cleverly managed to land on me.

Still, it was worth it to see La Princess, the excellently cool mechanical spider that will be slowly scuttling through Liverpool this weekend.

My fingers are still numb with cold and damp so I can't really do this justice right now - perhaps later - but here are a few pix in advance...
