It's estimated that an entire month's worth of rain will fall across the north west in just one day today.
And I can confirm that to be so, as each and every single raindrop rather cleverly managed to land on me.
Still, it was worth it to see La Princess, the excellently cool mechanical spider that will be slowly scuttling through Liverpool this weekend.
My fingers are still numb with cold and damp so I can't really do this justice right now - perhaps later - but here are a few pix in advance...
In a whirl of smoke and to the music of a live orchestra suspended by separate cranes in the air, the creature came alive...
With spider's legs longer than a 70s porn star...
It stalked up and down the stepped slope along Liverpool's waterfront...

...the Minor Local Celebrity who'd had his hair done specially for the occasion...

Not fair.
We went on our lunch break, got back soaked and looking like a soggy poodle, but got doughnuts on the way back to work. Working in a male oriented office is gonna make me fat! x
