We interrupt this interminable nonsense to bring you some actually important (in the scale of things) news:
A G8 Prime Minister just a year into his job has resigned somewhat unexpectedly, in recognition of his unparalleled unpopularity, a muddle of a healthcare system and his apparent inability to find a way out of the economic meltdown.
Needless to say, though, it's not Gordon Brooon.
No, it is Yasao Fukuda, Prime Minister of Japan.
Mr Yasao, it should be noted, at least went through the process of a leadership contest in order to get where he was up until today.
But he's fallen on his sword anyway, realising the nation simply doesn't think he's up to the job.
It's called doing the honourable thing, Gordon.
You might want to make a note of that.

Good for him. At least //someone// has a sense of honour!
