I see one of the bodies found in the burnt out remains of Osbaston House in Shropshire has turned out to be Jillian Foster.

She'd been shot in the head, and the police say the other body is "that of a man", as yet not positively identified.

Nearby the corpses was a rifle owned by Christopher Foster. Still missing is their 15-year-old daughter Kirstie, last known to have been on her computer in her upstairs bedroom, which was completely destroyed in the blaze.

My gut instinct on this one, not that it amounts of a hill of beans, had been along the lines of the Canoe Man from Grimsby.

How particularly horrible to have apparently been proved wrong.
