Remember the old private post messaging system?
And the time when even though you'd read everything - or marked a post as read - there was still a phantom "unread" post somewhere that you could never find.
And how bone-crunchingly, debilitatingly, wood chewingly, buggeringly irritating that was?
Well, it's happening all over again. But probably just to me.
I now have a phantom new message showing in my BCUK inbox even though there isn't one there. All. The. Time.
I'm not getting any notifications either about comments left on posts or of replies to my own comments either here or elsewhere on the site, for some reason - UNLESS a non logged in person leaves something, strangely enough.
Hardly the stuff to invoke gasps of sympathetic understanding from the ravaged families of war-torn Iraq or militia-soaked Somalia, admittedly.
But bugging me all the same.
Anyone else?
