wank stains

"AN ARTIST has created a new exhibition of drawings by masturbating over paper, says The Sun today.

"Controversial performance artist Jordan McKenzie, 40, has made 55 images by ejaculating over canvas and sprinkling carbon over the results to immortalise them."

Ideal background music for this exhibition - He'll be coming round the mountain when he comes.

Goes to show, some art really is just a load of wank.

So you're telling me that the only difference between an artist and a wanker is the quality of the paper that catches the . . . ummm . . . . outburst? :))

mmm Nick has a piece of paper taped to desk *apparently* for his mouse but now I'm not too sure lol

*Sigh*

And slowly, ever slowly, the art world degenerates into a laughing stock...

Actually, not so slowly...

This is just too easy to ridicule... :))

Is it wrong that I actually think that looks quite good....? People can be too quick to dismiss art with a roll of the eyes and a "Who calls that art?!".

Art's what you want it to be - it's a person choosing to express themselves however they choose.

Lesson over.

Having said all that, some guy's still jizzed all over the canvas....

I supposed it's what they call "modern jizz".

Mmm, that's one dance class I don't want to attend....

Makes you wonder what Jacko really meant about "moon"walking, too.

Rubbish I call it:)

Just think of all the masterpieces I've flushed away...

That reminds me, I must ask mum if she's still got the curtains I had in my room as a teenager.

Actually, now I look again, some of those are pretty impressive!

And ew.

Is each of the 55 creations named after the muse that inspired it?

The work in the bottom right-hand corner looks like a foot.

I really don't want to prolong the debate, mass or otherwise, but is this Jordan character a man or an elephant?? Some of those canvasses look like they took pints of his special material.

As to whether it's Art or not, I don't know if it's right to have a knee-jerk reaction, although apparently that's OK if you're the artist.

Enter your resident arts development consultant.

Is it art if it's on a kleenex on your bedroom floor? No.

Is it art if a professional artist has selected the materials (not just that one), perfected the process (not just that one), framed it, marketed it and hauled his ass round galleries trying to get it exhibited? Probably.

I'm not saying it's right, or that it's 'good art' (far too subjective). Just that it's the guy's job. That and doing art. :D

the guy must have king kong sized bollocks .

Not ping pong balls, king kong's balls.

You must admit, he's got excellent jettison.

I wonder if he works out?

I fine range, indeed.

I am sure he only when he's taken by his heavenly muse.

Jordan McKenzie's 'Art' is an old hat – the concept of making 'Art' out of bodily secretions was launched in 1961 by Piero Manzoni.

Actually, one of the ninety sh*t cans ('al naturale'9 Manzoni 'created' was sold recently for 124,000 Euro... can’t say if the work of McKenzie is worth investing in, but if you have some bucks left from Xmas shopping :) I advise to invest in a piece of "ejaculart" – if that’s for sale. Don't tell me you can make such a piece of art yourself, you are not an artist... beside, you might not find te right brand of graphite...

I'm a street artist.

I get smashed, throw up all over the pavement, and then passers by look on in wonderment as I manage to escape without so much as a splatter on my Italian shoes.

which part of this process on the street do you call 'Art'?

The nimble, adept way I remove my feet at the last possible moment.

A work of genius, I'm sure you'll agree.

In McKenzies case.....

it is a perfectly valid deconstructed system of signification .

In your case......

stop hurling on the pavement , here's a mop-and-bucket.

rubychoo, I think you are wrog. Juzzzy, like McKenzie, is an artist. Juzzzy's Art (consisting in 'throwing up all over the pavement, then escaping without so much as a splatter onhis Italian shoes' - is called Performance Art, which is quite a prominent (nowdays again very en vogue), trend of Conceptual Art. I'm currently making plans of marketing Juzzzy's art...

It is indeed a performance Missy.

And if you can market it, hell....

I'LL get the mop and bucket !
