The Two Very Good Things that have just happened to me (though not in Cat in the Hat style, admittedly - with something of a nod to my good friend Eggward The Sick(th), naturallement) are:
1) An inspired discovery of a way to stop myself ploughing through the frightening amount of alcohol in this very house: eat Haribo sweets, and lots of them (orange chews, mainly). I now feel quite nauseous, there's a chance a couple of my teeth might fall out and it's unlikely that my tastebuds will ever recover. But - the thought of a beer at the moment is revolting.
2) The crossword I'm doing at the side of the laptop (as I sit waiting for interaction with, ooh, anyone, as part of my addiction (see below)) just had "malarkey" as one of its answers. And I know you'll agree that "malarkey" is a very good word indeed (with or without the inverted commas, in my opinion).
Damn! I texted that word to someone today and I spelt it milarky. No wonder my predictive text wouldn't do it!
